Month full of sicknesses and visitors!!

When we got home visiting Utah over Christmas, our family could not catch a break from being sick, it was quite ridiculous. I got some stomach bug, and that lasted for like 4 days. Then the kids both got a really bad cold. Thank goodness it looked like a cough/runny noses so I wasn't TOO concerned. Then of course, I got it and it hit hard. It was so bad. I felt like I was slowly dying. After a week of NyQuil, nasal spray, meds, and boxes of tissues, I felt better. BUT I really couldn't kick the nasal congestion. It was quite gross! I did at-home remedies and such and it seemed to help. Well, fast forward to a few days ago, I went to the doctor and sure enough I had Sinusitis, Rhinitis, and some weird rash...aka I had 3 different medicines. It was bad. And to top that all off...Reese woke up with 102 fever last week...geez. I am happy to say (knock on wood) we are all healthy right now. This has been the worst year for sickness for us. I think it has to do with Boston starting school this year...

Although we were sick a lot this month, we had my best friend visit for a long weekend! Oh we had a blast. I never laugh so hard than when I am with her. We totally get each other. She brought her cute cute son, Bodie. Boston was so sweet to him. I love that little boy to much. Bodie is such a crack up, I love him! We went swimming, Ferry-riding, shopping, eating, went to Trader Joe's, had many many Italian sodas, laughed so hard watching the Grammy's, and of course, watched Sean & Catherine's wedding. Come back Lac!!!

While Lacie was here, I had to run off and do some Primary stuff. Have I said how much I love serving in the Primary? It's great. We had a Great to be 8 fireside for all the children who turn 8 this year, and it turned out super cute.

I have some other random pictures on my phone I wanted to include. Boston being so funny and cute at Ikea eating his beloved meatballs. We love that store and I could spent endless amounts of money there. And that cute tassel garland! I totally won that...well kinda. The girl who actually won it never came forward, so technically I got 2nd place. Her loss :)

Jeff's parents are actually in town right now but they are at a soccer game so I had time to blog. We love having them visit. Nola and Boston have the cutest bond--it's for sure special. I'm headed to Spokane this weekend because my niece and nephew are getting baptized--yay!

Juan-uary

We've had such a blast this last month, one to remember that's for sure. I am so depressed when Christmas is over!! I seriously get the after-Christmas-blues...it's a real thing I swear. Anyway, this Christmas was so much fun since Boston really understands Santa and the birth of our Savior. We had fun teaching about the Christmas story as well as getting him so excited for Santa. I'm so happy I decided to get Elf on the Shelf, it's so fun as a parent to hide him every night and get so excited for them to find it! I think Boston was depressed when Whitaker went back to the North Pole. :)

We hosted Christmas Eve dinner with my aunt and cousins. It was actually really fun getting the table set and making the dinner, it really wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be. BUT what would be the Holidays without some drama right??? So, I was cutting the potatoes and the kids were on the couch watching Curious George when I heard Boston say, "Mom?? I stuck a red thing up my nose..." Serious!!! They were snacking on some candy pearls that decorate the top of cakes and such, but they were like a sixlet size...aka the perfect fit for a nose...:) So I brought him over to the garbage to help him blow it out, but nope, it was up there good. I called around and talked to some nurses to see if I needed to take him to Urgent care, and sure enough I did! It can be dangerous if he get's lodged in the wrong place. So we spent many hours at the doctor trying to find it, but it eventually dissolved, so we were told to watch him closely for weird smells because that would mean a sinus infection.

After dinner, Jeff and I had fun playing Santa setting out cookies, bringing presents down, putting together toys etc. I loved it so much. We were busy packing also because after presents in the morning, we were headed off to Utah to see Jeff's parents after two LONG years! Anyway, the kids woke up and we all rushed down stairs to see what Santa brought. The kids were both spoiled with many great gifts.

We then hurried off the airport! It was quite the sight with Reese straddling my carry on being pulled around the airport...she thought that was fun but it was kinda hard to manage. It was so awesome seeing Jeff's parents. They served a two year mission in Samoa and we could not wait to see them. I love spending time in Midway. Reese ran up to Nola and gave her hug, which totally surprised me because Reese isn't the friendliest little girl!! We had a blast going sledding a few times and playing in the snow. AND Jeff and I celebrated 5 years! I loved going back to temple square and reminiscing--even though Reese cried the whole time.

It was a wonderful Christmas. BUT I will say that ever since we've been home from Utah, we have been battling the flu and bad colds. I totally went to bed at 9:30 New Years Eve...Oh how my priorities have changed!

And what would be January without the kick-off of Bachelor!! JUAN-uary is my favorite month for Tv series!!

A Christmas Carol

I seriously love Boston's school, it's so great. I love the teachers, the Co-op part, all the MANY fun activities they do-- I just love it all! Yesterday was Boston's last day before Christmas break and they put on a cute show. It's so funny to see him do all these things, I still can't believe I have a child that age! His hat cracked me up, too!

Clearly, she got bored. :)

Check out Boston's face in the picture below, is he serious??? He is such a little punk sometimes!

It was just so cute and I loved it. He sang "Go tell it on the Mountain." He has a pretty funny remix of it though, poor guy can never remember the words. I love him!

I realized I haven't updated since Halloween, whoops! We made the trip over to Spokane for Thanksgiving and of course, had a blast. I love Thanksgiving and black Friday shopping with my mom, it doesn't get any better! It honestly takes me a couple days to recover! I'm so excited for Christmas this year ESPECIALLY because Jeff's parent's came home from their 23 month mission from Samoa. They got home on the 11th and I SO wish we were at the airport but we decided Christmas with them would be better. So we fly to Utah Christmas day and stay until New Years Eve. I seriously can't wait to see them and hang in Midway. Christmas is truly my favorite time of the year!!

Halloween

Halloween was such a blast this year! I didn't have any babies to carry around while trick-or-treating. It was quite nice. Reese was the cutest little Cat Woman with her brother being Venom (naughty Spider-man as he calls it). They were the cutest villains around. We started trick-or-treating at 4:30 and didn't stop until 8. We went to the Millcreek town square, our ward trunk or treat, then some more around our house. It's always so fun at the end of the night to dump all the candy out and see how much you got. I loved doing that when we were little.

Reese's smile really cracks me up. She is so cute and pretty but when she does that smile she looks a little...special. Nonetheless, I love that pirate smile. I took all this candy and separated it into some big jars around the house...I still have like 2 full ones left. Jeff and I love digging in once the kids are asleep. Halloween is such a blast when the kids are a little older to walk around!!

18 month old Reese

My sweet cheeks is 18 months old! I would say that time is flying and I feel she was born yesterday, but the truth is, is that she a difficult little girl...so time isn't really flying! I know that this age is hard because of teeth, she REALLY wants to talk but isn't quite all the way there yet, wants to be big and do everything Boston does, her cute little feet are aren't fast as her body so she trips a lot when running...poor girl. AND this girl can cry!

I do love her so so much, and she is so fun, but she isn't easy. Boston was a breeze compared to her! I talked to her Dr. about the screaming and crying, and my Dr. just said it's probably because she can't express herself yet...so c'mon little girl, let's learn to talk!!

Look at this girl, I mean, how could you not want to kiss those rosey cheeks??

Some fun facts about Reese...
She can say mommyyy, da da, Buh-bye, Hiiii, shoes, baby, airplane, dog, ball (everything that is round is a ball to her), nuh uh (no), uh huh (yes), Hello, ouch
Obsessed with shoes, like obsessed.
If I put a coat on her in the morning, it HAS to stay on all day or she'll throw a fit.
Hasn't tried juice yet--she doesn't want anything but water in her sippy, fine by me!
When hungry, she runs to her highchair and screams until we put her in it.
Loves her dad so so much.
Boston and her play so well together. They are for sure two peas in a pod.
Really loves "reading" books.
Any animal is a dog to her.
She thinks her crib is a trampoline.
It cracks me up when she colors, I mean she goes all out.
Bed time is FOR sure play time to her.
She looks so cute when she runs, I think that's the best about this age.
She will be our child that may or may not play well with others.
Loathes nursery
Can't remember her height and weight, but I remember her percentiles...over 100 percentile in height, and 92 percentile for weight.
and is loved by so many.

We are so grateful for this little, we love her so much.

Boston will be 4 next month! I can't believe that!

The cutest little preschooler around!!!

I still can't believe Boston's old enough for school! I'm a little sad about it to be honest, but I'll get over it. I totally got lucky in finding this Co-op program. I LOVE it. It really is perfect for us. They have a nursery that moms can use when we are volunteering and Reese just goes in there when I'm upstairs in Boston's class. I just volunteer once a month in the nursery. It really fits our needs perfectly right now. We went to his first day of school, and then headed to Spokane right after his class for my little sister's wedding!

She was too cute on the car ride to Spokane. I think when she smiles like this, I see a lot of Jeff in her. He says the complete opposite.

My sister's wedding was completely gorgeous. It was such a fun week. SUPER busy. I love Zach, they are great for each other. I'll have pictures when Allie get's them from the photographer. The only complaint I have, is that I wish it was like 20 degrees cooler. It was so hot, and I had a long sleeve dress...with tights on. I was sweating.so.much.

More school pictures because he just looked too cute.

When they take pictures like this together, I think he chokes her a little bit...

I sure love these two babies so much. Life is really great right now, truly couldn't be better.
