Long overdue post!

I'm not even sure where to begin! It's been forever since I last updated because so much has gone on, that I wanted to wait until things settled down...so here we go!

Jeff really enjoyed his job as a healthcare consultant, but the company was no longer focusing on healthcare as much, so he started looking elsewhere. This was all January ish. Then March came around and it was time to decide what we wanted to do because our lease was also up in April. His company said that they would love to have Jeff stick around, but because his company was no longer focusing on healthcare, Jeff decided it would be best to find something else in his field.

We both were surprisingly ok with it. We panicked a little, yes, but not what you would think! So we decided the best thing was to pack up when our lease ended and move back to Spokane. Jeff stayed until mid-May to finish work.

Fast forward until now, Jeff was able to interview with a lot of great companies, and we are happy to say that we are moving BACK to Seattle where Jeff will work at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in administration. The job is great for him. He starts this Monday so he is house searching while the kids and I stay in Spokane waiting! Hopefully we will reunite next week. Many people have asked me 'are you ok moving back?' and yes I am! At first I actually wasn't but after Jeff interviewed with a number companies in and outside of Seattle we felt like this job is where we needed to be. We are very grateful.

Other than that, things have been good. Reese is a little diva-- she seriously is. You don't want to cross her! She likes only a handful of people, but I sure love that feisty girl of mine. She is 16 months old and has a mouthful of teeth. My mom taught her how to fist bump, which is super cute, but she now punches close fist in the face...umm seriously Reese??? I feel like she doesn't really understand the word 'no' but I'm working on that. One of her favorite people is Boston. He's so nice to her. Speaking of Boston, he is a crack up. He is a boy through and through. Sometimes he's the sweetest thing, and the next he's a total three year old. I couldn't be more grateful for my babies.

My little sister got engaged too! I'm way excited! They're getting married September 12th, ya do the math that's 5 weeks away. She's coming to Spokane tomorrow to plan the wedding.

Once we get settled, I'll add lots of pictures!

Reese's FIRST year!

Wow! What a year it has been with our sweet girl. She is seriously the cutest. I can't believe she's only been with us for only a year. Let's take a trip down memory lane...

August 2011 - found out we were pregnant with Reese!

(Miss you Lindsey...)

The pictures below are from her birthday.

Reese didn't dig into her cake, just like her brother. I don't like sticky fingers and I guess I rubbed that off onto my kids. She did, however, put her finger in the flame...that was kind of funny (she didn't even notice). We had all our friends and family surrounding her on her birthday. We are so lucky to have the friends we have here in Seattle, and family close by. It was perfect. Reese had no idea what was going on, but oh well...

Some fun facts about our girl...
  • She weighs 22.5 lbs (75%)
  • She is 31.5 in (100%)
  • She doesn't stand or walk...she can crawl super fast tho. She stands and walks along things, but doesn't care to walk on her own.
  • Sleeps 12 hours at night
  • Throws hilarious fits. She screams and then falls back on her back. I just sit there and think...really??
  • Waves goodbye
  • Gives slobbery kisses...I love it tho.
  • Has 7 teeth (four just came through on top...ouch!)
  • She's a little bird...aka if you have food she just opens her mouth waiting for food to be put in.
  • Wears 18-24 month clothing
  • Had her first hair cut so she didn't have a mullet
  • If she wakes up before Boston does, she crawls to his bedroom door and pounds on his door. It's actually really cute.
  • Loves to wrestle with Jeff.
She is the best little lady. I sure do love our girl. We are so glad she picked our family!

February!

February was an exciting month!! It started off with us buying a new car...

We are loving this car. It's a Nissan Pathfinder. I will say this, it was the BIGGEST pain to get everything transferred over to us...seriously. The family lived an hour away, so we drove there 3 times getting papers signed and such. THEN the owner moved away to the Philippines (which is why she sold it in the first place). That wasn't a big problem until we needed one more signature from her. Oh man, bring on the problems. Well, calling cards,  notary, scanning, re-doing notary, signatures being wrong, wrong addresses later....we FINALLY got the ownership to our car.

Spending Valentines day with all three of my loves...which included making sugar cookies....and of course licking the beaters.

Having nicer weather which meant we hit the park! Many times....

Mid February, my grandmother passed away so we took a quick trip over to Spokane. This was how the kids thought they would help pack the car..seriously...I was kinda mad.

At Christmas, we didn't have enough room to bring Reese' car home, so we grabbed it this trip. She LOVES it. And yesterday she walked with it the first time. She didn't look sturdy at all, which is so so cute. Hey, at least she's trying.

Also, for Boston's 3rd birthday we got him a scooter and he just didn't understand how to +-to practice.

I also wanted to add that my sweet little girl will be ONE in just 11 days!! I'm super cool and bought her a new car seat for her birthday. It's actually really cool and cute.

Reesie Jane at 2 days... <3 (I feel like that doesn't he even look like her!)

Life in 2013...so far

I thought I'd give an update so far this year; we've been busy. We have been enjoying our time.

Boston's favorite thing to do is go bowling, so that's what we do on our family date night.

I signed Boston up for 'gym' class (that's what I have to call it according to Jeff). He loves it so much. I can tell I'm just beaming while watching him. There isn't anything better than watching your child learn and try new things. Love it! Next up is soccer!

And my very best friend finally got her baby...so so sweet. Bodie was born on January 10th and is so healthy and one cute little guy. I flew down a week after he was born and was there for 'help' but it was more like moral support...aka I just hung out with Lacie. He's such a loved little baby. I went for the long weekend while Jeff watched the kids. Best husband, and I came home and the house was clean! Yay! (the little things right?)

Jeff sent me the below picture and it made me kinda sad because I missed their cuteness. They look happy so that's all I cared about! Now they insist on riding in the red cart. I think I look a little white trash using it, but whatever.

Reese is crawling, and crawling fast. She's so so cute! I love when they first crawl they look a little stiff, but now she's getting fast. Along with being mobile, she trashes the place, with the help of Boston too. They are trouble makers together. They can honestly trash the house in a matter of 10 minutes...Boston also loves that Reese can crawl, he's always asking her to come play with him.

 More of 'gym' class.

This picture cracks me up because Boston looks so creepy. Ha ha it's ok, Reese looks cute. They love taking baths together. Reese hogs the balls and Boston always get's too riled up and it usually ends with Reese crying because she's getting splashed too much. Whatever, it's still cute.

And this cute girls turns ONE next month. I canNOT believe it. I can hardly believe it's almost been a whole year with this cutie. She's such a joy. Jeff and I love this little lady so very much. She is also pulling herself up to things and starting to walk along them. Ah! I still don't think she'll walk until she turns one tho.

Other than that, life is great. I'm ready for the gray skies to be less gray, but that's about it!!
